Wow - not a good start.

Another oddity the wife noticed is that Hallmark movies is not available on the top tiers, but is available on the bottom.

Was reading an article about Att CEO saying demand for DTVN has been overwhelming...said they met their target for the entire month of December in one day on launch

Another question - if I get an antenna so that I can pick up CBS, is there a way that I can just turn off the fire stick and switch to the antenna, or do I have to unplug it every time?

Nah, you just change the input on your TV with your TV remote.

I run my antenna through tablo which gives me a dvr, channel guide, and I access my antenna channels on a fire tv like I do my streaming apps.

yea, the problem (so to speak) I'm having with this firestick is that the component is so wide and my HDMI inputs are right next to each other, such that I can't keep firestick and the plug for eatel in at the same time.
When I plug in one I have to unplug the other.
That's my my TV issue (and the fat firestick).
There's probably some sort of adapter I can get so that what goes into the TV is just a plug size.

How are you liking it? Do you pay for their service?

Yep, they make an adapter. Basically just a 3" cable with a male and female end. My Chromecast came with one.

I love it. I can stream locals on my iPhone even when not in wifi. There are no monthly fees for me. You can pay $5/month for the guide or $150 for a lifetime membership. After using the trial it was obvious that it enhances the experience do I just did the lifetime. It has been incredible I bought it expecting to return it but I hooked it up in the attic with my antenna since it's wifi or Ethernet so I have no cords running from my tv to antenna. It hasn't had any buffering issues whatsoever.

Can you schedule reoccurring shows without buying the guide?

I signed up online on Monday and received my Apple TV today. Didn't receive an email about shipment.
