Is there any way of getting my business info back from a damaged drive? An ex employee, we caught stealing took a cutting torch to the company's computer(mother board and hard drives) to hide the theift. Damage to the drive is very bad even distorted the disk inside. Looking for options

First post? Not sure if you're legit, but no if you can see that the disk has been distorted by a torch then it's highly unlikely that you'll be able to get anything off of it.
If you can't prove theft then your best bet is to prove damage and go from there.

Here I am ordering a six bay NAS and planning encrypted off site backups for personal use I am still worried about losing data.
And we've got businesses keeping critical data on a single laptop.

Depends on how damaged the drive is.
If you cannot read it yourself, you'll need to send it off to a company that specializes in data retrieval of damaged drives.
So you're really a Russian military officer who found the remains of a Ukrainian laptop? Go frick yourself, Russian warship.
