Yeah, if you look at the timestamp and realize that's it's 0100 on a Friday night/Saturday morning it makes it a lot sadder.

I just waited an hour to download something, then it says it failed due to lack of drive space. Then had to wait another hour to get started on what I needed to do in the first place

Yuck. When stuff like that happens, I see red. No worries at all

Btw, I saw this post before, but decided not to comment really. Easily you have solid skills and so does cdkline06. Seemed kinda like a pissing match for a while.

I still don't understand your reasoning behind the setup, but best of luck for sure.

Yeah. It was a pissing match, which I most certainly started. Not sure where it came from, as I don't usually play the internet tough guy routine. I was put in my place pretty quickly with my forgetfullness and lack of reading comprehension, though. So its all good.

1) Current backend is underpowered and cannot do the job.
2) Need/would like NAS (4 bay preferable)
3) Anticipated move leaves me without WiFi. I do own a pretty reliable/decently spec'd N900 access point.

3 birds, one stone. And I like to think I'm doing it as cheap as possible on this end. I've gotten lots of "whys?" but no one has been able to offer a cheaper solution that meets these three needs.

The CableCard boxes are lagniappe, but they're in effort to opt in to HD cable while opting out of monthly fees. Net break even time is a year on one. And I'm currently leaning toward the HDHomerun only without the Samsung STB.

Nice. That should be a riot. Lots of participation.
