We’ve had it for years. It’s great.
Over the last two weeks it’s been going in and out. Anyone else having issues?

My parents have been having issues in Walker. It seems pretty intermittent, and not related to their equipment.

Yes here in Baton Rouge. It will drop in and out randomly and the speeds vary throughout the day and night. I got a new Linksys AX1800 router 2 days ago and it was working great but something must've happened overnight because now it will not get a signal after multiple reboots. I called Cox and they refreshed the signal and showed strong signals on their end and said there were no problems in my area or with my equipment. Any ideas?

The old-fashioned ‘unplug and plug it back in,’ has been working and has worked this morning. When I went and looked at our panoramic router earlier, the normally blue light was red. That tells me it’s a signal issue coming through the cable line.
All is well now and we’ll see how long that lasts.

In Jefferson Parish, had an issue for the first time in a long time Christmas Day. I've seen others complain in the area, but the first I experienced. Unfortunately, they have me locked in bc the fastest I can get from AT&T in my area is the 25 Mbps down package.

See if you can disconnect the line coming into the house. If you can follow the same procedures at the modem... disconnect everything & unplug it, then Disconnect the main line coming in.

Then reconnect in the normal order w the main line going last. This would solve problems for me before I was able to get them to replace my lines

I found an old router, Linksys E1500, and it connected instantly after a modem reboot and is getting ok speeds so I don't think it is a line problem. I think it maybe time to upgrade modem anyways.

Yes. Lots of temporary outages and slow speeds.

What’s the normal order?

I've always went with unplug power, unplug coax, remove any cat cables. Wait a few minutes, plug coax cable back in then power cable. Once all lights are lit properly, start introducing the cat cables.

You can do the external coax first, but I've always done it last because you will feel the low voltage when connecting to the modem. I'm always worried I may cause problems because I can never get that cable lined up properly the first time
