Costco deal on Ecobee 3 Smart Thermostat

Costco has the Ecobee 3 with 3 sensors on sale for 180.
A 2-pack of sensors is typically over 50 bucks, so this is a good deal IMO.
Using the ecobee with only one sensor somewhat limits the true capability of it, so having 3 is ideal depending on how many rooms that thermostat controls.

That is a great deal. Also, check with your power company for rebates. I got $125 back from Entergy when I bought my Ecobee.

I have gas through Entergy but electric through demco. I wonder if I can get that deal.

I have demco out in Livingston and I think I checked last year and didn't see any rebates

I've been meaning to get one of these, but am not sure the sensors would really do anything because my heater is either "on" or "off". If one room is getting heat they all are. Unless I can just tell Ecobee what room I'm in and have that room be what drives things. Is that how it works?

That is exactly how it works. Works great with a 2 story house where the thermostat is likely in a hall way or at the top of the stairs. We put a sensor in each bedroom and tell it to use only the bedroom sensors for the sleep setting. Doesnt matter how hot or cold our hall and gameroom get.
