Cord Cutting Suggestion

We live in a slightly rural part of Western North Carolina.
Directv is getting too expensive.
We don't do much technology - don't stream shows or movies.
Our internet cost would increase with streaming.
I like to watch the news and sports.
Do you have any simple suggestions for a change or am I stuck with Directv?

Not many options for low tech users in rural areas who can't afford satellite TV and/or high speed internet. We all want to save money but many things fall under the category: "you get what you pay for".

Without streaming over the internet your options are pretty much limited to an OTA antenna. Depending on how rural you are that may not be an option. Because you said your internet would cost more with streaming, I'm guessing you are going over satellite internet, which probably wouldn't be ideal for streaming anyway.

If you don't want to stream OTA is the way to go. If you are way out of the city you may need to get an HD antenna for on your root or attic area.
