Out of the blue I received a notice I'm about to exceed my 1.2TB data cap for the month.

Nevermind I was never informed the cap was reinstated and nevermind I have no idea where they pulled the 1.2 from.

I guess I assumed after the huge shift to people working from home they might actually double it to 2TB or *gasp* drop this bullshite altogether but no, they gotta move it just a teensy bit so they can pretend they're being generous about the imaginary bullshite money-grb cap they're using exactly like blockbuster used late fees.

They hate us internet-only users for not buying their stupid cable shite and force feeding our family negative 24/7 mainstream tv.

I hate them so much. I'm going to be screwed this month.

Well i hope you maxed out downloading those 1080p movies while the cap was off I never got anything either from Comcast about data caps until that same notice got to me as well. The next month i cancelled and got AT&T 1gb fiber with unlimited data cap Got that for 50 bucks a month till next june. I hope to read one day a post from you that says i dumped Comcast and their data cap.You knew it was coming Comcast needs all the money it can get and that was revenue lost.

the ceos of these 2 companies must have monthly circle jerks because they always seem to do the same thing at the same time.

Is that change permanent or more bullshite?

Pretty sure the entire Comcast infrastructure didn't crash during data-cap free months. It's almost like data metering is an abstract concept to milk their low-rent customers....

....almost

This was one of Comcast's best kept secrets. I knew the unlimited data was through 6/30 and wanted to know if they had changed anything. This is what I found: https://dataplan.xfinity.com/

I think your options are to use your 1 month of free overage or call and add unlimited data for $30 / month.

Remember - we're all in this together.

I used 5TB in April and 4.5TB in may and June.

Didn't even feel it other than notice how nice it was do whatever the hell we wanted to do without constantly worrying about the stupid arse limit but now I'm screwed for July because I used my "free overage gift" like 9 years ago when crapcap piloted the 250GB cap in Nashville.

I just signed up with Comcast Xfinity 300mbs plan for like $80 a month at my new home. I was told if I went over 1.2 TB per month, I can add unlimited for $11 more. I really don’t think I’ll come close as neither of us work from home but wouldn’t be too bad for $11 more.
