Chrome Remote Desktop With Unattended Windows PC?

Has anyone used Chrome Remote Desktop while traveling to connect to an unattended, Windows 11 PC at home?
While on the road I need to access that home PC for several hours per day for work, using a Chromebook.
I plan to test the setup by connecting the Chromebook to a cellular provider that's different than our home ISP.
The PC will be unattended, with no one to restart or troubleshoot it during that time.
Other than setting the PC BIOS to restart in the event of a power outage, are there any suggestions to help make this work reliably?
TIA

Cant answer specifically to your question but it may help with reliability/ease of access if you had a vpn connection. Are you needing to access/run certain programs from the home computer, or just needing to access files?

yes, it works. Not as good as teamviewer but that is nit picking.

The alternative is to buy a portable Windows PC and a lot of duplicate software, which doesn't seem cost-effective for a one-week trip.

I use it for exactly what you describe. Works with no issues. I have a 2 monitor setup in one of my chrome RDP comps and it lets you see both or one at a time if you only have 1 monitor on the computer you are using.
I use it locally as well bc windows gimped RDP on home editions.
