A router would work if you configure it right. Really you just need a switch, and a wifi access point (if you want wifi). Or even just a wifi AP connected straight to the bridge might work if you don't need the switch. Consumer routers typically perform both of these functions, but they also have other functions that you might need to disable (like the DHCP server) or configure correctly. This might be as easy as just choosing an operation mode, though.
I would probably get a standalone switch and separate wifi access point, though. The total cost would be comparable but they would probably perform better and last longer.

Do I need a router on the receiving end of this?
Should only need a switch. Everytime I set one up they were pretty much plug and play.

I’ve had great luck with the nanobeams. Yes, if you want WiFi at the other end you’ll need some sort of access point, be it a wireless router or a access point. There are tons of YouTube videos that will show you how to configure them. They’re not super user friendly but if you have a little time and patience you’ll figure it out. There are other devices and manufacturers that make the same type of devices but they’ll be either more expensive or less reliable in my opinion but it’s like only my opinion man.
