Just for someone solo or a husband and wife. Data usage is minimal. We are not gamers and stream only using Wi-Fi. We have had unlimited with AT &T and are still with them but will be dissolving a family plan very soon. What are my options?

Google fi would probably be the cheapest and best service.

I am on Total wireless which uses Verizon , but they don't have a low data family plan

What is important to you? Are you just looking to save money, cut or add features, or get out of a contract?

Mint Mobile will give you 8GB of data plus unlimited talk and text for $20 a month.

Total Wireless

What’s ur thoughts? Wife and I are about to switch from ATT to total wireless. 2 line plan with 30gb for 60$.

ATT data works horrible where I work, my Verizon work phone works well though.

Any recommendations for porting #? I’m paranoid they’ll screw it up somehow and I’ll lose my #s.

As long as you port the number before you cancel service with ATT, you'll be fine. I've used just about every carrier out there and kept the same number each time.

I currently use Visible, which is another pre-paid carrier on Verizon's towers. I haven't had any issues with coverage at all.

Yes, do not call the former cell phone company to cancel. When your current number completely ports over, your former account will cancel automatically
