I know Samsung TVs now come pre-loaded with the espn app, and I have added the ESPN app through google play store on a Sony tv before

Is there anyway to get the ESPN app directly to a LG tv?

Buy a Roku. I think I paid $25 for mine in my bedroom and it’s super easy to use.

I know and have used Roku/Fire tv etc etc

I would rather not have to use any of those and go straight through the tv for this purpose. Seeing if it is possible with LG tvs

Hey Guys,

So I noticed the same problem and found an ideal workaround. I used the browser feature built in the webos tv and navigated to espn and logged in. I was then able to watch my espn + content.  Yes the website takes some time to load but the video content once your playing it and go to full screen showed 0% lag. Keep in mind I'm using an ethernet connection on the tv and have a 100 mbps connection. The quality was very good as well, 4k.

The browser does work. It isn't as convenient as an app but like you said, picture still looks great.
