Go for the D7200 Pro Pack

Looks like the going rate for a d7200 with lens, I would not buy the pro-pack b/c it's most likely a grey market camera(imported, not for sale in US, so it isn't nikon warrantied.)
ETA: Eventhough the pro pack is sold on amazon.com, which is an authorized Nikon dealer, the Pro pack is sold from a 3rd party and not fulfilled by amazon.
ETA: Nikon Authorized dealers
Costco: D7200 bundle

Better camera / better lens / New, not remanufactured: Canon M5 with 18-150mm
This is a new model that just came out. Mirrorless, so less bulk, less weight. Includes an IS (image stabilized lens), and has ISO settings from 100 - 25,600.

I'd be looking at the B&H photo web site if I were looking to purchase a camera.
Canon vs. Nikon is a debate that is never ending. Both companies make outstanding cameras. I have a D7200 and am very happy with it. I'm sure I'd say the same if I had the equivalent Canon model.

Pretty good deal. The body alone is about $800 if you shop around. The lens can be obtained for about $300.
Ritz camera has it for $1139 right now.

Why not just get a 5300?

How is that better? Everything is better on the Nikon except the fps.

Choosing a camera you have to take into account several points: your budget, your professional skills and what you're going to shoot. Canon or Nikon? They are both good! But if you want to buy Nikon you can watch video about Nikon cameras It helps to choose the model. Personally I chose Nikon D610 and I like it!
