Bluetooth speaker recommendations

I have an ihome speaker I got about 6 years ago just as Bluetooth speakers became a thing. It was good while it lasted but I'm looking to upgrade. This speaker would be used only for travel (mostly the camp or beach) and I want it waterproof I also want it loud. Biggest complaints I have now are my speaker isn't very loud and Bluetooth range is weak (but I think it's a 1st gen). I'm looking at the UE mega boom but it's pricey. Any other comprable recommendations?

This is what I have, very good speaker plus it's waterproof.

Altec Lansing life jacket
I got this one for $150 and was very suprised with how great it sounds. It gets pretty loud and has plenty of base. It bluetooths to you phone and can be a good ways away. Also lasts pretty long on one charge and has a USB port that you can charge your phone with. Not to mention probably the greatest feature of them all it’s waterproof and supposedly can be set in the water and will float

If you don't mind two devices, I'd recommend the Aomais Sport II ( Amazon - $36 ea. ). Not only is it waterproof, but when you pair them together, it's really loud and has great bass. Like together, they're louder than my soundbar/sub on my TV.

Get something from Nyne. Great sound, some are waterproof. You can generally find s a model or two at Sam's. Reviews are great and always a better value than the more talked about ones. I have the Nyne Bass and love it.
