The problem with bluetooth headphones is that you need to keep them charged...which is a big pain in the arse. If you forget to charge them, they are worthless, much like the apple watch.

BT headphones aggravate me when watching videos because of the small delay.

I'm not an audiophile but I like nice headphones.
I have 350 dollar BT headphones and they're easily trumped by 150 dollar wired phones. It's a trade off. I like the convenience, and BT is getting better such that at the high end you can get serviceable stuff. But the difference is still pretty noticeable if you care about such things.

You need the aptX Low Latency codec on both transmitter and receiver. It reduces the delay from ~ 150 msec to < 40 msec, which takes it from unwatchable to imperceptible for most people. Did Apple mention solving this problem? I know my iPod Touch is unusable for watching video with BT headphones due to the lip sync issue.

What if I'm traveling and want to use the headphone port on the plane. The adapter is crap...just 1 more thing to worry about losing or misplacing then my headphones can't be used with my phone. What if I want to go from my work computer to my phone?
Why not just include both? You can't take away a feature, force your product, and then call it an upgrade or innovation. Crazy thought.

tl, dr summary:
people are arbsurd for not being giddy about paying $49 to $750 for quality BT headphones.
