Best sub-$250 android phone on Verizon

Time to replace the MIL's phone. She currently has a Moto G6 and is having trouble with the screen going blank when she receives a call and can't answer it. She doesn't want another Motorola phone. I'm about to pull the trigger on the LG Style 6 for $240. Is there a better option available in the $250 price range?
If I thought that she needed a more powerful phone, I would go with the Pixel 4a. Just not sure if it's worth an extra $140.

We still love our cheapo Verizon LG V20 phones that I got off eBay for less than 200 bucks.

I ended up getting a LG G8 through Swappa. Went with a "Good" over the "Mint". All in with sales tax was about $277.
