Best place to take a tv for repair

i have had a 46" samsung for 9 years. Dam screen went black saturday, but i still have sound. where can i take it to be repaired? Or is it even worth it to fool with. Paid $3400 for it 9 years ago

It`s going to cost too much to fix. Sounds like the LCD panel went out. That was back when HD tv`s cost a shite ton. You can get one for like $400 - $600, that will be as good or probably way better.

It could be a blown Capacitor . They are normally flat ,but abnormally bulge when bad. Check them 1st.

I purchased one for about $5 & fixed it myself. Need a soldering gun as well.


Guy at the electronic store I purchased the capacitor says many people give away or discard TVs with this simple fix.

thanks guys, im not tossing the tv. I would love to put it in my game room. I already replaced this one saturday with a 70" because i couldnt miss football saturday
