128gb, M2, great specs. Still better than new Air or iPad

An Ipad pro with an M2 for that price is a steal.

That initial jump with the M-series of silicon/chipsets is going to be a problem for Apple (which they're already experiencing, I believe), as the marginal difference onward is limited.

Don't worry as Apple will start distributing software updates that make the older models unusable.

What can I expect from an open box. Is there anything wrong with them?

The ones labeled "fair" quality are usually floor models or were returned without any box; I'd stay away from those. Stick with "good" or "excellent".

Well, if they are still eligible for AppleCare, then I'd still get one of those. I get AppleCare on all my iPads and yes, I've had to use it.

SFP: Well, that is the iPad pros in general. They are always way ahead of the other iPad models on specs and it's been argued their specs are too good as you don't need to replace one for several years.

Sold a friend of mine my 10.5' model when I upgraded. Still runs like a champ. I remember the reviews saying it was too much iPad at the time.

For something as hands on as an iPad, I wouldn't get a floor model; anything with a screen I'd only go for good or excellent.

I have, however, bought "fair"/floor model Sonos equipment from Best buy and that was fine.

It's an iPad. You can look at it. If it is not scratched up or has anything visible, get it. And if you have the AppleCare, they will either fix it or in my case when I broke the screen, give you a new one.

And the price went back up to $799.

You're welcome
