Best AI to use for basic stuff?

I typically use Grok on X,
Does anyone recommend using ChatGPT, Serenity, or something else? I just use AI instead of googling questions & searching for an answer.
I think Grok is decent, but wouldn’t mind using the best one out there whatever it may be. Thanks!

I think it depends on what kind of questions/answers are involved.
Gemini 2.5 was a huge step and I imagine they will "win" given the rich datasets in Youtube for video and all the content contained within YT.

I keep edging closer and closer to copilot every day. It’s really good at everything I throw at. Only downsides are overconfidence and ball kissing. For Q&A, you will need to have a head on your own shoulders and often ask twice to reference something current. AI compute is expensive and they’re not going to default to searching the world over to feed thousands of reference tokens onto your prompt.
Gemini 2.5 might be correct more often but it isn’t worth all the run arounds and thousands of extra words even when you ask it to be concise. Google does have a very generous free api though if you are automating or building. ChatGPT is more for specific community plugins.

I use Copilot routinely and don't find a need to use anything else.

Use copilot at work which has been great for to program in python.
At home I use gronk and ChatGPT, switch it between the two on a regular basis, but also will not pay for any premium service.

I always feel like Gemini is holding back information and being intentionally vague.

I use CoPilot (expanded options are part of my Microsoft 365 Subscription). Works great. Integrates with the various apps. Use it all the time to proof, spell check, rewrite certain sections.
And..
I also use Grok and ChatGPT.
Honestly, I use them all and they each have their own values.
Grok, ChatGPT, and Copilot each bring distinct personalities and capabilities to the table. Grok leans into edgy humor and real-time X (Twitter) updates, making it ideal for users craving a sassier, less filtered experience. ChatGPT shines in creative writing, nuanced dialogue, and flexible plugins, especially with GPT-4 Turbo’s advanced tools. Meanwhile, Copilot is your productivity powerhouse—tightly integrated with Microsoft 365, great for structured tasks, document analysis, and practical day-to-day support. Grok excels at memes and cultural commentary, ChatGPT offers imaginative depth, and Copilot provides clarity and efficiency, especially if you're anchored in the Microsoft ecosystem. Pricing varies, but each tool offers free access with paid tiers for expanded features.
