Anybody else having this issue. Does it on 2 PCs. One is brand-spankin' new. Really strange. As far as I can tell, it's the only website that does this out of the ba-zillion webpages I go to everyday. I've cleared the cache and history and all that jazz.....

That actually worked, but it imported bookmarks on my favorites bar that I haven't seen in 6 months. Not the first time Chrome has mysteriously screwed with my favorites. Known issue in the Google forums.

Yes, Chrome on my Nexus 10 has been doing this exact thing! Glad to see it's not just me.

I downloaded Chrome Beta and it's been less frequent but it makes browsing the site frustrating.

It's only this site. I can't make it happen anywhere else.

I think Chicken is holding a very large short position in GOOG.

Is your ad blocker turned on? Sometimes there is an ad URL that gets inserted when clicking from the board into a thread, and if you don't have an ad blocker running, you can go back one page and you are still on that page of the thread, not back out to the board.

Typically they are ad that serve through doubleclick.net or atdmt.com.

never had this issue on Chrome/Mac...probably Microsoft internal malware designed to get you back on IE.

The only "blocker" I have enabled is for Pop-ups. The back button was simply dead in the water. Had no effect whatsoever.

I stayed pat. Seems to be working beautifully. I'm the middle of a big project so at least for the short term, I'll leave well enough alone. Thanks for asking...

Completely uninstalled it when it first started happening to see if that was causing it. It wasn't. Weird issue.

I agree. What I failed to mention is that both my PC's are Chrome-synched. But why did it clear up when I re-installed and re-synched?

For whatever reason, I suspect that when Google communicates with each browser, it's doing something it shouldn't. With GREAT regularity, I'll wake up to a different favorites bar on any given morning. Google forums are rife with this issue. I've gotten into the habit of exporting my bookmarks to my desktop and import them back whenever that happens. Not sure if this is somehow related to the TD back-button issue.
