AT&T TV service

I am a current ATT U-Verse and GB internet customer. I realize that ATT is no longer selling the Uverse package and instead is pushing ATT TV.
Apparently you can stream to any device that has the ATT TV App or they have a box they will sell you. The website says you can stream up to 3 streams at once. I have questions for someone who has this. I have 5 TV and it isn't uncommon for 4 to be rolling at the same time. What counts as a "stream" and would this work for me?

Each device (TV, tablet, phone, etc) watching content using the AT&T service is considered a "stream". Three TVs would be considered three streams. The fourth TV would be out of luck.

Thanks. I'm guessing there is some technical reason why they limit it, but I don't see how this service would work for larger families.

BTW, I recently switched to ATT TV and love it. I am only missing one channel I liked from my cable provider.

Have you made use of the on-demand service and how do you like it? Do you find that it chokes your bandwidth for internet usage by having everything stream?

It’s limited to 3 uses at one single time
If you need more (at the same time), use your cable credentials and log in to channel specific apps. You can watch ESPN on the ESPN app and it won’t count towards the 3 at a time limit

It's probably actually due to the progammers and the language in the contracts. I wish people understood more on how horrible they are. Instead the ones distributing the content constantly take the heat for shite like this and increased programming costs.

I have not used on-demand. Not noticed any issues. My gaming son hasn't complained.

I have had it since it started after getting rid of dish network and really have no issues with is. The worst part is the shitty 50mb internet speed that is only available in my area but still no buffering using fire sticks in the tv's. 2 streams at a time with 80 channels and dvr for $40 works. Having a local antenna picks up the slack for my other viewers.

It is that 2nd year of the contract at triple the price that is a bitch.

I am grandfathered in and have the triple bundle discount with internet and phone so I am locked in at that price.

Seems dumb to stop selling UVerse. I moved into my place three years ago and they said I couldn’t get UVerse, DirecTV wouldn’t work because of trees, so I was stuck with Sling for a year. Total dogshit. Was able to get UVerse and love it except for the too frequent outages.

Don’t be excited buddy. They WILL get you. Quick story- had all ATT. Prices kept going up up up. I was on phone for over a hour w some att rep in India or someplace. I’m so mad I’m cussing. Wife comes in and starts getting mad at me for being so “rude” I hand her the phone, say I’m done!, an hour later she is cussing....all Verizon and streaming TV now. Screw att.
