So I see it’s only for the fiber. If I were to sign up for the 100 or 300 could I use my own router with their modem on bridge mode?

We are giving them out as a promotion for customers signing up for the 1gb speed. I cannot remember when it ends but its coming up soon. I wish I was actually able to get it, the mesh nodes (we call them "Air Ties"...smh) have seemed to work pretty well in the houses that I have installed them in. They are very easy to pair and make a noticeable difference in wifi coverage. They have been especially useful in cases where a modem is placed on one side of a larger house and the customer needed a stronger signal on the opposite side on the second floor.
The reason we cannot give you any from our vans is that because we usually only carry 2 at a time and are only replenished after selling them to customers. For example I sold one the other day and have to now wait for the warehouse to send me a replenishment unit leaving me with only one in my van.

i know you have given us some good info int he past but have you been able to pass through to a nighthawk or other router and keep the gigabit speeds?

I have not tried yet. I am still working with support to fix the speed. I am only like the 2nd install in the area so I assumed I would have to deal with some issues.
As soon as this is cleared I will start working on changing it into bridge mode.
The router interface is pretty basic too.

OK, so this is how to set it up for bridgemode which turns the DHCP request to the outside IP to push to your WAN interface.
Also, I have found with the new firmware the instructions are wrong and the dmzplus is located under the following tab- firewall/Applications, Pinholes and DMZ amd scroll all the way to the bottom and select:
Allow all applications (DMZplus mode) - Set the selected computer in DMZplus mode. All inbound traffic, except traffic which has been specifically assigned to another computer using the "Allow individual applications" feature, will automatically be directed to this computer. The DMZplus-enabled computer is less secure because all unassigned firewall ports are opened for that computer.
Note: On LAN devices which have a Private IP address, once DMZplus mode is selected and you click save, the system will issue a new IP address to the selected computer. The computer must be set to DHCP mode to receive the new IP address from the system, and you must reboot the computer. If you are changing DMZplus mode from one computer to another computer, you must reboot both computers.

Before I read backwards to catch up, I just set my nighthawk as an AP and have gig to my wired and have no drop off in wireless..Not sure if you're having an issue or if the question is worded funny

i want to use a better device as a router. not just an AP. I last year i had a big thread on this because when you would go into passthrough mode, your other router would be throttled to 400-500
Here is the thread

Interesting...I always had issues with the Fibre modem and passthrough so I just used it for DHCP
