The shipping easily makes it worth it for me. Everything else is lagniappe.

(Not a French or Spanish word, by origin, although it was popularized/maintained by Louisiana and, later, Cajun French speakers.)

Just bought some hair stuff off Amazon Prime for less than 1/2 of Target's price - who I am boycotting anyway. Shipping included/no tax.

Prime shipping benefits have degraded (thanks USPS) as costs have gone up, but the additional services for cord cutters, Pantry, etc make it worth the 10 bones a month.

I use Amazon Music a lot
I use subscribe and save for all non-essentials
I use the storage for all of my photos/videos since it is unlimited being a prime member
I use the prime video for watching TV since I cut the cord
Prime Music you can find a TON of albums and songs...

HBO streaming is worth it if you watch or want to watch those shows. I'm watching The Wire right now, it would cost me at least $80 to buy the complete series on DVD or Blu-ray. Add in the shipping perks plus Prime Music (which is getting better) and I'd say Prime is well worth it.

The hardest part for me is always explaining why there are Amazon boxes outside our door to my wife
. Best 50 bucks i spend a year. For all the students/non students on here if you have and .edu on any of your emails you can get prime at student rates. I haven't been to college in over 10 years but my work email has a .edu at the end of it so i get it at 50 bucks a year.
