Apple Watch Update Won't Install

Trying to install the software update on my Apple 7 watch. It keeps saying my watch must be connected to charge and charged to at least 50% to update. I have the watch connected to the charger and it's over 50%, but it still keeps giving me that message. I don't know how to resolve this. Thoughts?

Phone has to be on Wi-Fi and above 50% I believe. Also watch has to be on charger at same time as phone and above 50%

reboot watch & reboot phone and try again. that will almost always do the trick.
worst case scenario is factory-reset the watch and try again which will work in those stubborn cases where something is wrong with the current firmware.
its a watch..it wont take that much longer to factory reset and get it back up to speed so don't hesitate to try that if rebooting doesn't do the trick.

That did it, thanks. Don't know why I didn't think to reboot the watch.
