I have this one. as of now, apps run fast, web browsing is fast. So until they either put an update out that creates significant performance issues or it dies I am not upgrading. Now if they come out with a larger screen I could be tempted.

Another overlooked feature of you will involves purchased content. Virtually all of purchased content is downloaded but your purchase resides in the cloud, so if you plan on purchasing any level of content, sticking to one ecosystem moving forward is the best practice, and the appletv is obviously the vehicle to purchase via Apple.
Most things can be purchased through an application but will be most easily accessed through Apple devices
Again this isn’t really a benefit, just a matter of organization for the future.

IMO the only benefit of an m1 or m2 iPad Pro over an older model is the upcoming external monitor support. Which, for some people, would be a huge reason to upgrade.

I can use an external monitor now, just does not expand the whole screen left and right

True external support, beyond the limited mirroring that you describe, is coming on Oct. 24 for m1 and m2 iPads.
