I keep hearing this sort of thing, but I had a mac and it was terrible and I got rid of it. I suspect that the people who claim they have never had a problem with a mac are using it for only the most basic of tasks.
I don't use my Mac for time travel or controlling Hubble, true. I pretty much use it the same way everyone on Earth uses their computer.
The Tech Board is starting to get it's own version of the OT Baller, I see.
Wicked smart, Anonymous types that have bad arse, cold fusion powered rigs and are constantly doing shite with their computers that most knuckle draggers on the Tech Board couldn't even imagine, much less those clueless Apple using sheeple.

Do you drive a PT Cruiser? Is your house a wooden cube? Do you wear rags? Do you use milk crates for furniture? Is/do you want your wife to be ugly as sin, but smart and athletic? Would you rather this refrigerator:
or this one:
They both refrigerate food equally. Why would you spend thousands of dollars more for the nice looking one? It's so dumb. You're just a sheep. Who buys refrigerators as status symbols?
UNITE PROLETARIAT TECH BROTHERS. UNSHACKLE YOURSELVES FROM THE BOURGEOISIE BRUSHED ALUMINUM AND HIGH DENSITY DISPLAYS. WHY DO WE NEED THINGS TO JUST WORK WHEN YOU CAN SET UP YOUR OWN LINUX SERVER? STAND UP AND FIGHT. FIGHT I SAY. THE TRUE ENEMY IS AMONG US AND TAKES THE FORM OF THINNESS, LIGHTNESS, AND GREAT BATTERY LIFE. THESE ARE NOT NECESSITIES. THEY ARE ONLY ILLUSIONS THROWN ON YOU BY THE TECHNOLOGY OLIGARCHY TO KEEP YOU IN YOUR PLACE. AGAIN I SAY FIGHT. GO FORTH NOW AND WRITE JAVA, PYTHON, AND C++.

I had a 2007 iMac. I loved it, until I blew out the video card on it. It technically still works, but after it warms up, the screen starts getting all kinds of pixels on it. I used the hell out of it for 5 years. Editing pictures takes it toll.
I will buy another one eventually, but will be after I get my new camera/lenses.

So preferring Apple products is "sucking off Apple?"
Writing that down
This board is turning out so great.

using an OS that is compatible with just about everything means you're a sheep? good luck working in an office with a Mac doing anything but being a wannabe graphic artist

hyperbole but still. everyone at my old job who had a Mac either had to buy a pc or install windows to do anything. oil and gas software and courthouse websites aren't compatible with Mac os

I'm using a Mac in my office right now and I am far from a graphic artist.

I work in the legal profession. It's just Word and Excel and internet, with the occasional PP and photo editing. I've been very satisfied with my Mac. I work faster on my Mac than my PC. Switching between programs is a breeze on the Mac, and I like how easy it is to convert docs into PDF. If that makes me some kind of mindless sheep, so be it.
The PC crowd just can't seem to grasp that some people prefer the Mac operating system (or whatever you call it). It drives them nuts. It's like bugs to a light when someone starts an Apple thread.
