I'm trying to add a stock ticker to my company's SharePoint site, and I can't seem to find a solution. SharePoint is telling me that i need an "iframe" embed code, but yahoo nor google have anything. what can i do?

Having SharePoint without a SharePoint Admin-Dev is short siding your potential with it.

Not sure about the iframe part, but many vendors provide "connectors" for SharePoint that allow you to drop a configurable component on the page.

I googled for "stock ticker for sharepoint" and got many pages of results. In fact google suggested "stock ticker widget for sharepoint" so you might want to try that.

100% true. Would recommend getting someone who knows what they're doing rather than trying to retroactively learn and apply.

I am pretty familiar with uploading and navigating but I reach out to our IT guys when it comes to creating pages, layout, etc.

The nuts and bolts of that sort of stuff is way over my head.

I know SharePoint very well!

You could do this in many ways but the easiest is to buy a webpart already made.

or you could create a page in SharePoint that displays an internet page that gives you this information. Not quite as clean as a webpart but it should work.

i can't seem to find a web part that works. we're using the new sharepoint online with the modern layout. it looks completely different than it did a few years ago.
