Anyone deal with Centurylink for internet?

I've been trying to get internet on a new construction for a few weeks now. Today was the 2nd time there was a no show so I called and they moved the date without telling me...again.
I've never had so many problems giving my money to a company.
Side note: any work around to having internet at the house?
