Thanks for the prompt reply! Never done it. How does the process work?

I sold 3 of them on Facebook marketplace. Met in a public area, verified that the phones worked for them, took only cash. It worked well.

What did that look like? I'm in the market for a used iPhone and want verify that the battery life is acceptable and that the phone is actually unlocked.

It's pretty simple. Just create an account and list the device. You'll add the condition of the phone and a brief description of the phone. Once the device is listed you'll get a listing number. You'll need to write this number on a piece of paper and include it with all pics of the phone. Once the pics are uploaded the listing will be approved. For phones they require the IMEI to confirm it hasn't been blacklisted by the carrier.

ETA: Here is their fee list. Technically it's paid by the buyer. They add the fee to the price you list. You'll also incur PayPal fees of around 3% and whatever it costs to ship.

Some great input. Thanks all.

Dumb question time. how can you tell it's "unlocked". Don't want to not tell the truth in an ad.

Got the new iPhone Sunday. Hit the "Erase Option" and erased all. Service was with Verizon. Old phone works perfectly.

Had them put in their sim to check it. Once they were up and running, sent them on their way.

There really is no way to verify battery life but I was honest about it. Older iPhones lose their battery life over time. It is what it is.

I also sell my devices on swappa. They walk you through the process. It’s safe.
