I'm looking to create a slim protective case for a handheld device.

Not high volume, maybe a few hundred per year, so I'm guessing it's too small for a Chinese run.

Any suggestions on where to start looking?

Buy a 3d printer or 2. Probably cheaper then any contract you will sign.

Could probably get someone to help with model design for cheap.

without knowing the geometry, my initial thought is its probably not going to work well 3d printed. but you could potentially 3d print a plug to make a simple mold from to then cast your case from a capable plastic.

That sounds more feasible.

Are there companies around Northshore, Nola, BR that do this sort of thing?
