I’ve had 2 different Homeworx devices fail on me for now reason. They worked fine to that point and meet my needs, other than longevity.

Is the HD Homerun is a similar device? It may be a bit overkill, but would it suffice? Also, does it rely on broadband to work in the house, just for viewing local TV? I am relegated to satellite right now, so that could be a drawback. Tia

You connect the Homerun box to your home network to access tv guide data but you don't need high speed internet for that. But it doesn't have an HDMI connection, you have to have your smart TV or FireTV/Roku/AppleTV etc. connected to your home network and the Homerun box feeds any of those devices on the network via an app that you install on those devices. The box has a coax connection for an antenna.

I also had a couple Homeworx crap out on me. Finally got a Tablo HDMI OTA bc I figure it’s a better quality product. I’ve had it for a year or so; no issues.

Thanks. I think this is actually the product I’m looking for. Not sure why I’ve had so little luck finding a Homeworx alternative.
