Amazon Prime Benefits

My dad subscribes to Amazon Prime and shared the free shipping benefits with me somehow years ago. I don't have access to prime video uneless I log in as them (no problem).
However, when I rent a movie it for some reason charges their account. If I log-in as them to check the household settings, I am not a member of their household. Similarly, when I log in as myself - it does not say I am a prime member; yet I still get everything shipped via prime (for free).
I'm just trying to figure out what sort of setting I have as there is no indication my account that I am somehow linked to his; similarly, there is nothing on his account that says I'm linked to him?

After a quick search it looks like if you use this you agree to share wallets with each other. It's likely using the default payment that is set up.

I see that bit about the wallet, but in cart I can only see my CCs and my parents have their own prime CC and i know they're default config is different than mine, although I'd have to check to see if my cards are visible on their end, but they're likely not. In the many years I've share prime with them its always seemed like our accounts are completely separate and they just get my prime benefits.

Ok. I know digital content is handled differently. I know you can't buy Kindle books on the Amazon app at least through Android. Might have to find the help area and chat with them.

Same here, we can't see anything about each other's accounts. There is no reference from one to the other - except on digitial purchases.
