I’ve got an old Amazon fire box along with a newer Amazon fire stick. I’ve got the box hooked up to the living room tv and the portable stick goes on outside tv

Recently my fire box remote has gone down hill and not working well and can’t really be used anymore

Is there any way to pair one Amazon remote with another device? Or do I have to get a whole new remote if it goes out?

There’s an app you can download and use the remote on your phone.

Yes, you can pair remotes. I’m not saying it will work, but there is a feature in settings

It should be under “remote”

Dumb question but how do I even get to settings if the current remote doesn’t work?

Use the phone app.

Go to settings/ controllers&bluetooth devices

Select amazon fire tv remote and then hold down the home button on the remote for 10 seconds.

If you can't access the firetv settings because your remote doesn't work, download the firetv app to your phone and use that to get to the settings screen.

It’s possible bc my AV guys did it to mine about two months. I have no idea how, but I know it can be done.
