2 factor is the only way to ensure you get notified and can keep someone out of your account who is asking to get in after cracking your code. Just do it.

Just cut your losses and start over dude. I know it's a pain as I probably spend close to what you do a month and do a lot of reorders. But burning hours of good time right now trying to recover it from an impenetrable corporate bureaucracy is not worth it.
