Air pod pro humming

I recently cleaned my air pod pros and now they hum loudly in either the transparent or noise canceling mode. Work fine if I turn that off but wondering in anyone knows how to fix this or if it can be fixed.

Unfortunately the only fix I found for mine was to replace as the repair was gonna be almost as much as a new pair.

Stupid question, but did you turn on Background Sounds or Live Listen by mistake? They both sound like a loud annoying hum.
