Adding Ram to a 2012 imac

Anyone have recommendations on brands to buy? Any that I should avoid? Are they all pretty much the same?

Installed it in my 2012, and ended up with some memory issue. Amazon refunded, so now I'm about to buy Crucial.
While this iMac isn't my main computer, I love the fact that almost 7 years later, it's still trucking along without any issues. I'd imagine going from 8GB of RAM to 32GB is going to extend its usefulness.
