There are 1000 of them out there but I'm looking for personal experience

I need a full motion mount that will extend more than 30" away from the wall. What have you used?

You want a beefy mount for that purpose. I’d be looking at Chief or Peerless and would not even think about a flimsy knockoff.

This guy is balls on. An 80 inch tv swung 30 inches out from the wall creates a shitload of leverage. Find the most expensive, bulkier one you are comfortable buying, then buy the one that's the next price tag up.

Also, remove the drywall behind it to reinforce the studs with steel plates then replace the drywall.

I have an 82” that’s been hanging on an echogear I bought from Amazon since mid October. It’s mounted to studs without a steel plate and with kids in the house it definitely gets moved around more than I would like. But, so far it’s held up fine and I would recommend it.
...not going to lie though, when I went to sleep the first night it was hanging I was mentally prepared to hear it crash down in the middle of the night!

I have SnapAV articulating mounts on all my TVs (biggest is 70") and have been incredibly impressed with the durability, ease of use and ability for cable management. The XL model allows for 28" off the wall (I know, not quite 30")

The physics of holding approximately 100 lbs 30" off the wall using home hardware, well do your math...

I have a couple Echogear including one holding a 65" at a distance.
Super beefy and very well made.

They are rated up to 86".
