Looking for a 2 in 1 Chromebook for my father. Anything around $250-300 works.

I had the Lenovo duet. It was serviceable but apps were severely limited and performance was an issue.
Switched to a one plus pad and love it. It pretty much replaced my laptop completely.
Now I use the duet as a digital kitchen calendar

Microsoft Surface Go (nearly any version.) It will also look like an operating system he's used to, unlike a Chromebook. There's a reason they push those things on seven year olds.

Thanks for the heads up. I got a surface go. The Chromebook looks like a dummy machine.
