Seems like that would be more of an indictment on New England then considering they are one of the original 10 MLS teams.

I kind of gave them a pass since they at least pretended not to care about anything for about a decade until very recently. They also have and play several Americans (Turner, Kessler, Jones, Bye, Polster, McNamara, Bunbury, etc.) as opposed to Portland. Portland recently played a game and zero of their players were eligible for the USMNT.

They probably didn't since they lost to Minnesota 2-1.

But I don't think he's eligible to play for the USMNT.

I give Portland a bit of a pass for their poor youth development. Portland loves soccer, but it hasn’t proved to be a fertile ground for talented prospects, compared to other areas of the West Coast. New England seems to be moving in the right direction in recent years.

What’s inexcusable are the poor performance of MLS academies like Chicago and Houston. Both have so much talent in their vicinity, and I don’t believe either academy has produced even a single notable player, in MLS or abroad. You’d think one would happen just by sheer numbers, but no. Hopefully new ownership can change that. Both academies have so much potential.

At this rate, Austin’s academy will produce a USMNT-caliber player before Houston.

I think Chicago recently overhauled their academy and recently signed a ton of homegrowns to show their commitment to it (8 since 2019). Jonathan Spector spend time in their academy before going to Man U. Djordje Michailovic also came through their academy.

I think Houston hired Tab to kind of get their academy jump started.

2/ Hütter: “I’m unbelievably pleased with Joe Scally’s first Bundesliga game. He played at 18 as a right footer at left back & not against just anyone. In this sense I must single him out in a cohesive team performance. He merits extra praise.”

Aaronson subs in at half time. He changes the game in RB's favor. He makes a run leading to a strong shot that was saved by the keeper. But, the rebound was hit by his teammate for a goal.

Ream just gave up a terrible goal, and Robinson almost gave up a terrible one to let Millwall tie it up.

Aaronson scores the go ahead goal for RB Salzburg in the 90th minute. May be the game winner!

Aaronson the next USMNT to take the leap. Come next year he’ll be playing at a very big club.

Aaronson will start some of the WCQ games as a rotational guy, but I think he’s gonna excel as a “super sub” in those games. He and Hoppe are perfect to bring in around the 60th minute and unleash upon a tired opposing defense. He’s like a tornado of energy and destruction, while still being a very technical player.

Many people think his little brother Paxten could be just as good as Brennen or even better. He’s already impressing for Philly at age 17. The Union have developed some great young players in recent years.

Paxten’s first MLS goal was insane, and also it was against Matt Turner, who no one could score against at the gold cup

Horvath on bench for Nottingham Forest.
Needs to be starting to have a chance to get to GK1 for USMNT.
