I am hearing that #USMNT central defender Matt Miazga is most likely going to Anderlecht on loan from Chelsea for the upcoming season. If it happens, it would be a good opportunity for him to work under Vincent Kompany.

Through first half -
Steffen didn’t have much to do in regards to defense. Commanded well on a couple of set pieces.
Basic ball distribution. Nothing similar to Ederson.
Was active at getting the ball to KDB. Created a few chances.

I was very high so don’t take this as fact lol, but I felt like he was making the simple passes at the back. Ederson will typically do the same but will also try a few direct passes downfield.
Steffen didn’t do any of that, which isn’t an issue either.
Overall he was fine. He didn’t have much to do but was tidy in the little work he had in defense.
