I got bored, so here's a look at our U20 team and their upcoming season's chances of 1st team action.
David Ochoa: Currently the starter for Real Monarchs, but has been on the bench twice this season for RSL. Rimando is retiring after this season, so the starting spot will be up for grabs. The current competition is Andrew Putna (24) and Alex Horwath (32).
Brady Scott: Koln just won promotion back to the Bundesliga. Scott split time as the starter for their 2nd team with Jan-Christoph Bartels (20). Koln's starter was Timo Horn (26), with Thomas Kessler (33) as the backup. Doesn't look like there will be many opportunities for 1st team play with Koln anytime soon. Maybe looking at a loan soon?
CJ Dos Santos: Was with Benfica's U19s this year. I think he's moving up to Benfica B for next season. Benfica's starting keeper is 25, but the backups are fairly young. The club seems to really like CJ, but 1st team minutes are still a ways away.
Mark McKenzie: Started most of last year for Philly, but has struggled to see the field this year. Not sure what the deal is, but he's definitely still in line for plenty of minutes.
Chris Richards: Started for Bayern's U19s this year, and looks to be moving up to Bayern's 2nd team next season. Possible that he could make a few appearances with the first team next season.
Aboubacar Keita: On loan from Columbus to Richmond. Didn't start to begin the season, but started the last 2 games before leaving with the U20s. Still quite a bit away from starting in MLS.
Matthew Real: Starting for Bethlehem on loan from Philly. Philly signed Wagner (22) this season, so I don't know what their plans are for Real. Fabinho is 34 and won't be around for long.
Chris Gloster: Slated to move up to Hannover II and nor far from the 1st team, but the latest rumor is that he's looking to leave. Destination unknown.
Julian Araujo: Has made 5 MLS appearances (3 starts) with LA this season, mostly as a RB. Pretty much just has to beat out Rolf Feltscher (28).
Sergino Dest: Played a ton with Ajax's 2nd team this season in the second division in the Netherlands. One of the RBs with Jong Ajax is leaving this summer. Noussair Mazraoui (21) is the current starter with the 1st team and will likely get sold soon. Joel Veltman (27) and Ramsus Kristensen (21) are the other RBs with the 1st team. Dest is probably next in line to get promoted.
Chris Durkin: Off and on starter for DC. Could move to Europe soon. Destination unkown.
Edwin Cerrillo: Has been starting for Dallas.
Brandon Servania: Has been starting for North Texas. As long as Cerrillo is starting for Dallas, I don't know how many minutes he'll get in MLS.
Alex Mendez: Likely moving up to Freiburg II. Freiburg's central midfielders are fairly old, so there will soon be opportunities if he impresses.
Richie Ledezma: Looked good with PSV's U19s late in the season. Maybe get some time with Jong PSV this season? PSV's first team CMs are young, so he will need to beat them out. Good news for Ledezma is that PSV is paying him a lot, so he may get a chance sooner rather than later.
Paxton Pomykal: Starter for Dallas. This will likely be his last MLS season.
Konrad de la Fuente: Was mostly with Barca's U19s this season. Will be with Barca B next season. They like him but 1st team minutes are still down the road.
Ulysses Llanez: Just joining Wolfsburg. One winger is already leaving Wolfsburg, but Uly will still have to bide his time.
Tim Weah: Will likely be leaving PSG.
Sebastian Soto: Has one more season left on his contract with Hannover, but could possibly be leaving during this window. Clubs like Dortmund are following him closely.
Justin Rennicks: In line to get minutes with New England. Will see what their new coach thinks of him when Justin returns.
David Ochoa: Currently the starter for Real Monarchs, but has been on the bench twice this season for RSL. Rimando is retiring after this season, so the starting spot will be up for grabs. The current competition is Andrew Putna (24) and Alex Horwath (32).

Looks like he's on loan from San Jose to Reno. This actually may have been his first official professional league match.

Is there any chance that Kik Pierie could choose to represent us?

Is it possible? Yes. Is it likely? No.

Gressel said he would most likely accept a US call up if he gains citizenship before the 2022 WC.

Weah may be getting sold to Lille for 10 million euros.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe this will be the third most expensive transfer for an American player. I think Brooks and Pulisic are the only other ones in double digits.

After some very quick research, Jozy went to Sunderland for 10m.

That would mean some UCL games potentially.

I was reading the comments of the French website where the news was broken and people are pretty positive about the transfer. Some people saying PSG are making a mistake, that Weah has a bright future, and one guy thinks they will sell him in two years for 50 million. Of note, one poster thinks he will get plenty of playing time, especially with the multiple competitions Lille are playing in.

Yeah. I think going to Lille is a perfect fit for him. He’ll get to play at a high level, and he’ll get way more minutes there than he would at PSG. Just what he and the USMNT needs.

I don't think so. This is probably good for everyone involved.
