Congrats to Charlie Kelman and Southend United U18s on winning the EFL Youth Alliance Merit League One Title today! Kelman scored one of Southend's 4 goals today in their 4-1 win over Portsmouth. Big season for the 17 year old striker ??????

US-U17s defeat Barbados by a final score of 6-1. Goalscorers were Busio (2), Saldana, Hernandez-Foster, Ocampo-Chavez (Barbados also scored an own goal). With the win, the US have qualified for the knockout round. Final group stage game is against Guatemala on Monday at 6 PM.

Brady Scott (19) was back with Koln II today, as he started and kept a clean sheet in a 5-0 win over Düsseldorf. Today was Scott’s first start for Koln’s reserve side since December. He has now kept 3 clean sheets in 12 games this season. LINK

I forget just how thuggish some of these countries are. I think one of the Guatemalans took two swings at one of ours.
ETA: Reyna just made a great move to setup a cross for Yow to head home the second goal of the match, and yows second of the game.
ETA: in the 57th min I think a Guatemalan dirtbag just purposefully spiked Yow on the ankle. Replay wasn’t great but I think that happened.

U17s will face Guadeloupe in the round of 16 on Thursday. Will play the winner of Panama/Guatemala in the quarterfinals. All four semifinal teams qualify for the U17 WC, so just win the next 2 games and we're in.
