After dropping a heartbreaker to Slovenia in PKs in the Torneo delle Nazioni semifinals, the U-16 #USBNT bounced back today with a 2-1 victory over Japan to claim third place. LINK

@BrianSciaretta
Looking at the new U.S U-19 roster, in the 2017/18 DA season, Kyle Holcomb & Sebastian Soto have a combined 70 goals in 47 games

It was announced that we will NOT be in the 2019 Copa America.

We should probably focus on the gold cup anyway and guarantee ourselves a shot at the confederations cup.

Llanez scored his 2nd professional goal. This time against Drogba and Phoenix.
Arellano (20) also scored and 16 year old Mendez had an assist.

Schalke secured a CL spot, so McKennie, Taitague, and Jones will be in CL next season.

Saw a tweet that Huddersfield will target Bobby Wood this summer if HSV go down.

Been some talk that Monaco has watched Tyler Adams quite a few times this season.

That could actually be a decent move for him.

One day after beating Kazakhstan 8-0, the U.S U-19 team downs Ukraine 2-1 at the Slovakia Cup. And FYI, this is the same tournament where Schalke first noticed Weston McKennie

Nice. At least our youth teams seem to be doing really well these past few years. As frustrating as last year was, I’m still optimistic on the long-term future of the national team. It seems our crop of kids aged 17-20 is pretty special by our standards, and will hopefully fix the black hole left by the overall failure of development in the 24-30 age group.
We’re seeing more players coming out of academies to sign for big European teams, and the growth of the USL is very encouraging for the long-term stability of US Soccer. We need as many stable professional teams as possible to grow the game and develop players.

Reading this thread makes the sting of missing 2018 a little better because by 2022 we could have a starting 11 of players getting quality minutes for clubs in the top European leagues. Having guys getting Champions League and Europa League experience at 20 is nuts for us.

Which is why I laugh when people say our system is broken.
