That contact will never be called. You would have to call a PK on 99.9% of possessions in the box.

False, he never attempted to push through, he just flopped. So no impediment happened.

Yes. He probably thought his odds at making a shot from twelve yards away with the keeper on the line was much better than taking a shot from 8 yards away with the keeper and 3 defenders in your way.

So it’s true that there was contact and he was impeded after beating his man. IMO that’s a foul, regardless of the amount of contact.
I mean, the defender 100% knew he was beat and 100% reached out with his arm to block Neymar. The contact was made, and it worked.
I’m surprised to learn that y’all dont consider that a penalty, but I accept it, even though it’s clearly mostly because y’all dont like the player.

He was still going to be in the area and was someone that needed to be accounted for. Looking at the video, he was absolutely a player that could have helped block a shot toward the far post. It was also a poor angle to take the shot from.

He seemed more frustrated that the ref had been letting him get abused all game than focused on burying the goal.
He should have just shot.
But, there is a difference in being physical to fight for the ball and being goons pulling people down when you get beat.
In this instance, the contact was minor. But it's mostly the accumulation of transgressions prior to this play that result in him choosing to embellish the contact.

Or it's just because he goes down in a slight gust of wind. That wasn't the first "contact" he tried to sell in the game.
