Of course there will be. It will just be billionaires vs richer/poorer billionaires.

Netherlands and Portugal are so down right now and there's still a stigma against playing in Russia unless you are just paid out the arse.

There has been talk of the Netherlands and Belgium making a super league. The money pouring into England is going to cause a crash at some point.

It's possible. I mean the Netherlands and Belgium share a hockey league. Obviously it's nowhere near the football talent, but it could be done.

Clear your throat. I don't believe it will happen but there's a small chance PSG will be banned from the UCL.

The oil-rich nation of Qatar will have a day of mourning to commemorate it.

Like I said,it's technically possible. But both those countries are minnows in hockey. Football they are not,but sure there's a possibility I guess.

I feel like I read on reddit some months back about Scandinavian leagues doing the same thing. Aggregation of talent into top leagues does a couple of things. It will spur investment at the youth level, as teams want to ensure they will be in the top flight for perpetuity, and it will improve the play of the good teams in the minnow leagues.

A Scandinavian league and a league in the Low Countries would, if structured correctly, be massive boons for both those areas. I can imagine that other countries will try to do this as well.

yeah a Scandinavian league would be interesting. I'm also intrigued if Finland ever committed to football, they are literally the only country in Europe where hockey is the top sport and they're damn good at it. Football is even more popular in Russia than hockey even though the hockey team is way better, but they basically have to compete against 6 other nations. Football is of course more diverse.
