That year Sneijder was truely world class, Messi didnt score 80 odd goals and more than a handful hat tricks that year. He also didnt score in the WC.
Sneider played well in the WC and was Hollands main man while Robben was injured, and had a lot of key moments in the CL run, e.g. the worldie of a pass to Milito vs Chelsea to help them get to the final.

I think Sneijder and Iniesta are better ones to compare, and Xavi is on the down, he's had a bang average Euros imo where as Iniesta has shone
