Remember a few months ago when they were trashing Barca in the Supercup and being proclaimed the GOATs.

Then things were supposed to be fixed when CR7 came back.

Now Paulinho can't stop scoring goals. And Messi gonna Messi.

Because he won back-to-back Champions League titles and had a double last season?

They’re not good right now, but that ought to at least get you one down season, especially if your name is Zidane.

That said, this is soccer, and we’re also dealing with the well-adjusted expectations of the RM fan base.

All Barca fans knew Luis Enrique was in over his head. His titles are a direct result of Messi's greatness and there is no denying who is the GOAT now.

It's pretty amazing, because watching them at the end of last season, I thought the were just loaded... their 2nd eleven would be one of the best in Europe... they seemed poised to dominate for a few years...

Not sure where it's all gone wrong, but they got rid of some very good players this past summer and Ronaldo just looks finished...

Aging squad and the greatness of Suarez and Messi can’t be understated.

Suarez gets overshadowed but he has absolutely beasted it for them since he arrived.

Yup, letting Morata and a couple other younger players leave definitely hurt.

Lol the fact that they let all of their depth go and thought they’d be fine is beyond belief.

James, Morata, Danilo....just poor team management overall.

Losing him hurt the most. Benzema is old and done, and Mayoral is still pretty young and unproven.

Losing James wasn't terrible because of Isco and Asensio.

Danillo is whatever, it just wasn't working.

The age is starting to catch up to Modric, Kroos, Benzema, and Ronaldo, we need to bring in some midfielders and a true striker. Bale needs to stay healthy for longer than a game also.

At this point, the league is out of reach, Zidane needs to start experimenting with some younger guys and seeing what the future may look like.

I’d be looking to cash in on Bale. World class player but he can’t stay healthy. I’m sure United would pay a King’s ransom. Use that money to buy Hazard
