Why don't teams crowd the keeper on corners?

Iirc, the USWNT would put 5 in the 6 yd box making it almost impossible for the keeper to get a clean line to the ball. Why is this not done in more in mens game? It seems to be a smart tactic.

Women's keepers are terrible for the most part, and besides Abby Wambach the women's game is not played in the air.

Blocking the keeper in the men's game just eliminates two or three attackers, when the attacking team on the corner is already at a numerical disadvantage.

Teams occasionally do it. I saw it work pretty recently. Cannot remember who it was though.

Because they know the ref will just call a foul if anyone touches the keeper even if the keeper initiates the contact.

It seems they (the ref and assistants) are letting things go more this tournament.

I think i would try it once a game and make the ref make the call and see how the defenders react.

I know enough to have semi intelligent convo but not an expert
