The King is out. Who does everyone think is going to be the next manager for 'Pool?
I've got my money on Roberto Martinez.

Why? They didn't sack him did they? If so.. stupid.

Roberto Martinez
Brenden Rodgers
Didier Deschamps
Paul Lambert
...wild card Rafa Benitez would be an interesting shortlist.
I think is Martinez would want it, it'd be his though.

Replace one liverpool king with another.

Liverpool would be able to get back to the Champions League final, only to completely no-show during the final 20 or so minutes of the match.

No way Martinez, rodgers or lambert are ready for what's ahead for Liverpool.
Deschamps would be interesting but would he want to bring in his own squad? Rafa makes the most sense to me personally unless they have someone outside the box like Bielsa in mind

Making the champions league at least > the previous king's reign.

Which brings us to that age-old question...would you rather get oh so close and not win or have zero shot at all?

In euro soccer? I'll take the extra 50 mil from getting close

Revenue matters in soccer.

True, but you can't pull that off in other sports.
Payouts ruin this whole question.
EDIT: Ok, it was a stupid question in this situation. Geez.

Why would he take a step down from Newcastle to Liverpool? He's got the Europa league to look forward to

I was thinking Jamie Carragher but his AARP payouts might be more than Liverpool's front office can handle.

Interdasting ...
My newest kick is having someone with Ligue 1 ties. This is not an easy question to answer right now because we don't even have a Footballing Director.
