quote:yeah i was one of the girls on the winning team. not the super skinny blonde that was playing up top, but the average size blonde. and yeah, i had a lot of fun in that game even though i got a little beat up
I was on the losing team. If you were on the team that beat us, that was the funnest game we played this season because it was actually competitive.
quote:same here. i played in goal the game before we played yall and i counted as a girl on the field. the old man for our game said the same thing about it being gender neutral.
We also have had issues with playing one of our girls in goal. The other old ref tried telling us she did count as one of the 3 girls on the field because the keeper is "gender neutral".

You must have been the one that could shoot, whose shots I had to keep blocking.
Y'all wore us down. You and the other girls on your team were the best we had played thus far. The other teams we played had a couple guys who had played before, but I don't think any of their girls had played before. We could play lazily and still beat them to most balls, which we could not do against y'all.
If you look on the league website, its says you play with "7 people on the field, 6 plays and the keeper" and that you must have "3 girls on the field". If the keeper did not count as being "on the field" then the keeper would not be one of the "7 people on the field".

We had the older ref, he was slow and lazy. He called a 2 minute penalty for clearing the ball over the wall early in the match. But at the end of the game when we were losing with about 1 minut 50 sec left a player on the other team one touches the ball over the boards. Didnt try to keep it in play, yet he said that it wasnt intentional. we get the free kick and score but they should have played down a man the rest of the game.
All i ask is for them to just be consistent. I honestly believe he was just to lazy to go set the penalty timer on the scoreboard.

I think the rule is that if you get scored on while you are a man down that your player gets to come back in right away. Not sure if that fits your scenario the way it played out though

Won last week. Play against cheese99's team this week.
I saw the pictures of the coed games on facebook.
I can run with those fools...
If any TD co-ed teams are looking for players for the next season, I'm in.

Still haven't won but improving. I've pretty much been sent full time in net and I'm starting to get the hang of it. We should have won the last game but I was late, as were some of our better players, and we were down 2-0 before we got on the field. Lost 4-3.

How bad did y'all lose in coed? We still have to play that team y'all played Friday. I think they scheduled my coed team to play all of the good teams at the end of the season, which is kinda nice.

we were down 8-0 at half but came back to only lose 8-5. if we would have played the whole game like we did the 2nd half we would have won. watch out for the big dude up top, and the blonde chick. they work well together, but if you can get one of your chicks to hit her, she'll get dirty and frick up

We won our game on Thursday, awesome to hear that they have beer now, there wasn't any on thursday that I know of.
On a side note, is anyone looking for a player or two for Tuesdays for the next season that starts in February?

I looked, and the next two teams y'all play are not great. Both teams have a lot of players that have not played before. So, y'all should have fun seeing who all can score in those games.

If she's cute in addition to being blonde and dirty, I might just mark her the whole game.

two questions: is there an offside rule in indoor?
And is it all people who played in HS or so, or is it like co-ed softball which is just a zoo?

No offsides, and it depends. I think everyone in the Men's Open Premier League at least played highschool. I think most playing Men's Open D1 have played at least highschool. However, teamwork and touch makes a big difference because of the quick pace. You're worthless if you have a heavy foot and no quickness. In coed, you have some teams where a few of their players have not played before or played 10+ years ago, but I think of coed as just being for fun.

We go eat and drink after games. Drinking on an empty stomach, while dehydrated, sounds like an accident waiting to happen. Good thing for Jason, Louisiana has anti-dram shop laws.

Damn, that sucks! Those fields are as hard as the indoor field right now, except they're not flat. Hopefully, today's rain will soften them up for this weekend's games.
