Who played indoor last night....

and how much did you realize how out of shape you are? BTW we got are asses handed to us, and I have some serious carpet burn. good times

I played in the 6:30 game - Varsity and Friends.

We played a really tough team last night, and got beat.
We were actually talking about "when we get to play the green and orange" teams.
It was fun as hell, though.

I've got to be honest... they were pretty bad.
A lot of the guys looked like they hadn't played, or hadn't played much, to be honest.
They'll improve. I looked through the rosters, and I know most of the guys. There are a couple of GOOD teams, a couple of BAD teams, and a bunch in the middle.
My team is on the high end of the middle (I think) and we lost 9-1 to one of the good teams.
The team cheese played against is also at the higher end of the middle, if not the best of the middle group.
Nothing to hang your head about.

yeah that's what i figured. for women's open it seems like everyone is pretty much in the middle.

Ho yeah.
It was bad. I think the score was 15-3.
None of us had really played before - last time I played was in college, and that was the odd pick up game here and there. I got no skillz.
Oh well. It was fun and we'll get better.

Biggest problem we were running into was shooting.
We were passing around trying to find the perfect shot in the first half.
I kept imploring everyone that if they were across the last line, and could see the GK, let it rip, and let it rip with pace. As long as you hit NEAR the goal, you're making something happen.
It was a bad combination for us last night. They had a really good goal keeper, and we kept getting caught with our pants down on defense. It wasn't really an issue of being terribly outclassed or outskilled, we just were always on the back foot, and chasing the game.

Of the six teams I saw last night (us, the game before and the game after), they're the best of the bunch.
I didn't see the other two teams, so I'm not sure.

We played Tuesday and got worked.
We shouldn't be in the top league, I requested the
Amp league but they bumped us up. Honestly, we'll be competitive there and probably win half of our games, but we only had 6 last game, most of us in not that good of shape, so it was close at the start and blowout by the end.
